Credit Suisse has appointed Marisa Drew and Ewen Stevenson to lead European investment banking business.
The appointment follows departure of Jamie Welch. Drew and Stevenson will work in their current roles as head of the bank’s global market solutions group and head of the global financial institutions group (FIG) respectively.

Stevenson has worked on deals, which include advising the British government on how it should recapitalise banks during the 2008 financial crisis.
Drew said: "Ewen and I have very very complementary skills, we go hand in glove. Myself from the financing, capital markets and client coverage side and Ewen from the FIG and M&A and client coverage side, and both businesses are two of our most successful in EMEA."
The investment banking division at Credit Suisse, which houses the advisory business along with equity and debt underwriting, posted revenue of CHF763 million in the first quarter, up 3% year-on-year.
