Swiss banking major Credit Suisse has expanded its onshore China coverage with the hiring of Li Ping, Summer Xia, and Ma Jie.
Ping has been appointed as managing director to head a Shanghai-based team of investment banking and capital markets (IBCM) coverage bankers.

In Shanghai the newly created position, Ping will be responsible to expand the bank’s onshore client coverage capabilities in China and build the bank’s financing franchise.
She previously served at the capital markets and treasury solutions group at Deutsche Bank, most recently as the co-head of corporate coverage and the deputy branch manager in Beijing.
Xia has been appointed as the managing director and chief Beijing representative of IBCM, Asia Pacific. She will be responsible for strengthening and expanding the bank’s relationships with leading Chinese corporate, government and regulatory bodies, as well as will support teams within IBCM to strengthen the global connectivity of the bank in China.
Xia, who has over 16 years of investment banking experience, was previously a managing director in the investment banking unit of China International Capital.

By GlobalDataJie has been appointed as a director in the bank’s China onshore coverage team, and will be based in Shanghai. She most recently served as a senior relationship manager in the capital markets and treasury solution team at Deutsche Bank.

These appointments also reflect the Bank's ability to attract leading talent to our onshore China franchise,” the Swiss private bank said.
