Zurich-headquartered Credit Suisse has appointed Martin Keeble as CEO of its Securities unit in Tokyo.

In this new role, Keeble will work for Credit Suisse Securities’ private banking, wealth management and investment banking divisions, and report to Eric Varvel, Credit Suisse’s chief executive officer for Asia Pacific.
Keeble has previously worked as deputy manager for trading and dealing at Schroder Securities ltd, Japan, and worked for firms, including Nikko Europe ltd in London and Smith New Court Securities in Tokyo.
Varvel said: "Martin brings extensive experience of working in Japan. Japan is a key country both for our Private Banking & Wealth Management division, where we are successfully building a differentiated wealth management business, and for our global Investment Banking division, from which we serve institutional and corporate clients from all over the world."
