Coutts Geneva’s head of wealth international, James Buchanan-Michaelson, is reportedly set to join Barclays as RBS, the parent company of Coutts, braces up for the sale of the business.
Buchanan-Michaelson will join Barclays as head of Swiss operations for Barclays’s private bank, according to a Bloomberg report.

He will replace Simon Gaston, who has recently departed from the bank.
Coutts International, based in Zurich, operates in Switzerland, Monaco, Hong Kong and Singapore. It reportedly managed CHF32.6bn ($33bn) at the end of 2013.
RBS CEO Ross McEwan is offloading the business in an effort to lower costs and focus on wealthy individuals in Britain.
