Coutts has expanded its Jersey trust business by hiring David Thompson as new head of fiduciary investments at Coutts Trustees.

Before joining Coutts, Thompson worked with Royal Bank of Canada in Jersey, where he was in charge for building its discretionary portfolio management solutions in the British Isles.
Previously, he was also responsible for building open architecture trustee investment selection and monitoring frameworks.
Coutts Trustees CEO Martin Hall said: "With over 15 years in the investment management industry, both onshore and offshore, David’s expertise will significantly contribute to the growth of our flagship trust business in Jersey."
