Counsel Portfolio Services has selected Timbercreek Asset Management as the sub-advisor for its Global Real Estate, which will assume sub-advisory responsibilities on or about 7 July 2014.
Counsel Global Real Estate is also expected to invest in preferred equity securities and fixed income securities issued by real estate companies when the portfolio manager finds suitable opportunities.

A direct subsidiary of IPC Portfolio Services, the Counsel Portfolio Services said these strategies are intended to maximize return, reduce volatility, and preserve capital.
The company said that the Counsel Global Real Estate is an underlying fund to Conservative Portfolio, Conservative Portfolio Class, Regular Pay Portfolio, Balanced Portfolio, Balanced Portfolio Class, Growth Portfolio and Growth Portfolio Class.
Other portfolio includes All Equity Portfolio, All Equity Portfolio Class, Managed Yield Portfolio, Managed High Yield Portfolio, Income Managed Portfolio, and World Managed Portfolio.
