Conning Asset Management (Conning AM) has appointed Ben Hamilton as a portfolio manager to its London team.
In his new role, Hamilton will be responsible for assisting senior portfolio managers managing fixed income portfolios for the European client base, and developing the firm’s global bond offering, according to Investment Europe.

Hamilton will report to Russell Büsst, European chief investment officer of Conning AM.
Prior to joining Conning, Hamilton served as assistant investment manager and research analyst for fixed income and multi-asset funds at Premier Asset Management.
Commenting on the appointment, Büsst, said: "Hamilton’s appointment, along with our other recent hires, reflects the commitment that Conning is making to both the insurance sector and the European/Global offering.
"Our strategy is to build ‘real’, fully resourced, investment centres to bring Global skill sets to local markets. Hamilton’s background and personality will greatly enhance that strategy in London."
