American money manager BlackRock has hired Deborah Ho from Barclays Bank to be its new head of South-East Asia, effective from March 2018.

In her new role, Ho will be based in Singapore. She has more than 30 years of experience in financial services industry in Asia.

At Barclays Bank she has been managing director and co-head of senior relationship management since 2012, where she managed the bank’s platinum client relationships in Asia Pacific region.

Prior to Barclays, Ho served as CEO of DBS Asset Management in Singapore between 2007 and 2011. Between 2001 and 2005, she acted head of fixed income distribution for Asia ex-Japan at UBS.

From 1995 to 2001, she worked in the similar capacity at JP Morgan Securities covering Greater China and South-East Asia.
