Uleer, to be based in Frankfurt, will report to Columbia Threadneedle co- heads of distribution in EMEA and Latin America Gary Collins and Dominik Kremer.

On assuming the role in July, he will collaborate with Hartwig Rosipal, interim German head since November last year, who will resume his role as institutional sales director.

Collins said: "Fresh from having rebranded as Columbia Threadneedle Investments to reflect our global capabilities, I am delighted to welcome Florian Uleer as Country Head for Germany. His appointment confirms our commitment to this important market, one of Europe’s largest."
