Younger Millioniares, those under the age of 45, indicate a greater interest overall in alternative investment products, according to our research. They prefer precious metals (27 percent), hedge funds (21 percent) and commodities (17 percent).

Collectibles have the highest appeal among investors from the baby boomer generation, according to our research. Nearly one-fourth (23 percent) or investors agest 55 to 65 invest in collectibles, compared to 19 percent of Millionaires younger than 45.
