City National Bank, a US subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada, has hired Brandon Williams to lead and expand its Private Client Services in New York, replacing Scott Witter.
Based at the bank’s Park Avenue office, Williams will report to Michael Pagano, division head of Private Client Services.

In his new role, Williams will oversee a team of private client services professionals and will add new people in New York.
In addition, he will offer advice and services in investment management, customized credit, depository and cash management, wealth planning and trust services to HNW families, non-profit organizations and professional services firms.
Williams, who has over two decades of experience in a range of leadership roles, is joining from TD Bank in New York, where he has worked for 14 years and was most recently responsible for leading TD’s Wealth Management division in the US.
He also led retail build-out of TD Bank in the US in New York City and also worked as chief of staff to the chief executive officer and president.

By GlobalDataMeantime, Witter will relocate to Los Angeles to assume a new role as executive vice president. He will lead City National’s branch and a small business division.
