City Financial has named Chris Coombe as its new chief financial officer, effective23 June 2014.
In his new role, Coombe will oversee City Financial’s finance, operations and client services, regulatory compliance, legal, technology, facilities and human resources teams.

Coombe will report to chief executive Andrew Williams.
Coombe’s move comes as the firm plans to open offices in Geneva and New York.
Coombe, who is currently a senior adviser at JDX Consulting, has previously spent two years as chief operating officer for Abu Dhabi-owned investment company Invest AD.
Prior to this, Coombe was based in Abu Dhabi and served as of the joint venture between Mubadala Development Company and Mesirow Financial.

He also held executive management roles at Prudential Securities and Morgan Stanley.
Williams said: "Chris is a highly respected and experienced professional. His appointment demonstrates our commitment to the continued growth of our firm.
"He will contribute to the development and launch of our new investment offices in Geneva and New York and to the continued growth of City Financial’s business in the UK, Europe, Asia and the Americas."
