Citizens Bank has appointed John Bahnken as new president for wealth management effective from 5 October 2015 replacing Mike Millard.

In his new role, Bahnken will be reporting to Brad Conner, vice chairman and head of consumer banking.

Bahnken joined Citizens from Bank of the West/BNP Paribas, where he worked for the past four years building BNP Paribas North American wealth businesses.

Earlier to this, he has held executive leadership roles at Bank of America, FleetBoston Financial, Prudential Securities and HSBC Americas.
