Citigroup has appointed Duncan Hennes as a new independent director to its board.
Additionally, Hennes has also been appointed to the Board of Citibank and will serve on the risk-management and finance committees of both Citigroup and Citibank.

Currently, Hennes is the co-founder and partner of Atrevida Partners. He also co-founded consulting firm Promontory Financial Group, led by Eugene Ludwig, where he continues to serve as a member of the Advisory Board.
Previously, Hennes has spent 12 years at Bankers Trust Co., where he served several roles including executive vice president in charge of trading, sales and derivatives and as the Chairman of the Board of Oversight Partners I.
Earlier to Bankers Trust, Hennes has also served as chief executive of George Soros’s hedge fund company, Soros Fund Management, from 1999 until 2001.
