Citi Private Bank has appointed Michael Liou as the new director and investment counselor for its Palo Alto office.
Liou will report to Citi Private Bank head of the Northern California investments team Michael Remak.

He is joining Citi Private Bank from Anvil Capital Advisors, where he was the CIO.
Before joining Anvil Capital Advisors, he had a 17-year spell in the private wealth management, securities and synthetic products arm at Goldman Sachs.
Citi Private Bank regional market manager for Western Region North Hoyt Gier said: “Michael brings an extensive network of individual and institutional client relationships to Citi.
