Citi Private Bank has appointed Adam Gross and John-Paul Tomassetti to expand ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) capital market client team in North America.
Gross will join the firm as managing director and head of capital market client coverage in North America, with effect from next month, reported Bloomberg.

Based in New York, Gross will report to Steve Bodurtha, North America head of investments.
In his new role, Gross will work with the firm’s private bankers and investment counselors, as well as product teams in Citi’s Institutional Clients Group, to initiate and close market business for markets-oriented clients.
In addition, he will also work with the Bank’s managed investments team, the CIO and Citi Research to increase the participation of clients in the firm’s high-conviction investment offerings.
Gross has joined Citi from JP Morgan, where he worked for 20 years most recently serving as managing director and head of US prospecting and marketing for the firm’s Global Investment Opportunities (GIO) group.

By GlobalDataPreviously he also held roles as the GIO group’s head of US investors and as a senior investor for the Northeast region and started his career at JP Morgan as an associate in the investment bank and later as a credit specialist within the capital advisory unit.
Meantime, Tomassetti will join the Citi and the Private Bank’s North America Capital Market Coverage team as new director. In his new role, Tomassetti will report to Gross.
Tomassetti has joined Citi from Barclays Wealth Americas in New York where he served as a director and investment representative. Prior to this, he has worked for six years at JP Morgan Private Bank as an investment advisor in the GIO Group.
Previously, Tomassetti also worked at Miller Tabak Roberts in high yield and emerging markets sales and as high grade corporate bond desk at Solomon Smith Barney.
