Citi Private Bank has expanded its investments team in North America by hiring Mark Maxson as a director and investment counselor team leader for Southern California and Phoenix.

Maxson will lead the team of Investment Counselors covering the private bank’s offices in Downtown Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Orange County and Phoenix.

According to Citi Private Bank, he will also be responsible for driving the region's continued growth in investments and bringing ideas across managed investments and capital markets to its customers.

Prior to joining Citi, Maxson worked at JP Morgan’s Private Bank, where he was an executive director/investment specialist for the Southern California market.

At JP Morgan, Maxson designed and implemented investment strategies across multiple asset classes for UNHW customers.

Earlier, he also held portfolio manager roles at SSI Investment Management, City National Bank and Northern Trust.
