Canadian investment firm CIBC Mellon has named Karen Rowe as its new CFO, replacing Duncan Webb who has retired followed a 35-year financial services career.

As CFO, Rowe will manage financial planning and analysis, accounting, corporate taxation and financial reporting at the firm.

Rowe most recently served as the managing director and head of investment finance at Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB).

Her financial services career of over 25 years also includes a stint at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC). She worked as the vice president, finance, global merchant banking, Canadian investment, corporate and commercial banking at CIBC.
