CI Investments has announced that Marret Asset Management, an investment firm specializing in fixed income, has been appointed sub-advisor to four mutual funds, effective on or before January 31, 2014.

Marret will manage a portion of the portfolios of Harbour Growth & Income Fund, Harbour Growth & Income Corporate Class and Harbour Global Growth & Income Corporate Class. Portfolio Manager Paul Sandhu of Marret will invest in government and investment-grade bonds for the three funds.
Mr. Sandhu has over 29 years of experience in domestic and international fixed-income markets. Marret will work under the direction of Lead Portfolio Manager Roger Mortimer of Harbour Advisors, who retains responsibility for the funds’ asset allocation, as well as security selection within the equity portion of the portfolios.
In addition, Marret will manage a portion of the portfolio of Select Income Managed Corporate Class, a diversified, multi-manager income fund. Marret Chief Investment Officer Barry Allan will be managing a portfolio of high-yield corporate bonds for the fund. Mr. Allan, who founded Marret in 2001, has over 30 years of investment experience.
CI Investment Consulting, Signature Global Asset Management and Cambridge Global Asset Management continue as the other portfolio managers of Select Income Managed Corporate Class, which invests in Canadian and foreign government bonds, investment-grade and high-yield corporate bonds and high-yielding equities.
