China Southern Asset Management’s investment director Qiu Guolu has left the firm to pursue other opportunities.

Guolu has joined China Southern in 2008 as assistant general manager and investment director. He has also led the company’s research and development reforms over the years.

Following his departure, the firm is planning to appoint new fixed income investment director as well as a new equities investment director in order to ensure a smooth transition, according to Asia Asset Management.

China Southern AM will hire Li Haipeng as new fixed income investment director while Shi Boyu will join the firm as equities investment director.
