Chicago Partners, a US-based RIA providing advisory services to individuals, families and institutions, has hired John Nicholas as a new partner.

In his new role, Nicholas will be responsible for managing multi-asset class portfolios for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, institutions and investment funds.

Nicholas has joined Chicago Partners from Guggenheim Investment Advisors, where he worked as head of fund management.

Previously, Nicholas also worked as director of public markets at Vulcan Capital, director of portfolio management at HFR Asset Management, senior consultant at Morgan Stanley’s Graystone Wealth Management group and senior portfolio manager at Harris Trust’s family office group.
