Charles Stanley’s national accounts director Ian Meredith has quit the firm to rejoin Fidelity.

Meredith will join Fidelity as a sales manager on the FundsNetwork platform, according to Fundweb.

Meredith has joined Charles Stanley in August 2013 to develop its national intermediary proposition and lead distribution of its investment solutions to the adviser market.

Prior to joining Charles Stanley, Meredith worked at Fidelity as business development director at subsidiary group XTRAC. Earlier to this, he was Cofunds head of national sales.

A Charles Stanley spokesman said: "James Stewart-Smith, director of Charles Stanley & Co. Ltd to whom Ian Meredith reported remains overall in charge of the intermediary sales team and Charles Stanley will seek to appoint a replacement in due course."

A Fidelity spokeswoman said: "Ian has joined FundsNetwork as a senior key accounts sales manager. His appointment demonstrates FundsNetwork’s continued commitment to the adviser market."
