Carne Group, a global provider of governance and oversight services for asset managers, has opened a new office in the Channel Islands.
The new Channel Islands office will be headed by Mark Hodgson, who has joined Carne as managing director.

Additionally, he will serve as an independent director to provide governance for Channel Islands funds, including private equity, infrastructure and real estate.
In his new role, Hodgson will assist Carne clients in meeting their Jersey and Guernsey governance needs.
Hodgson has joined Carne from Capita, where he served as managing director of its multi-jurisdictional offshore registration business and fund administration business.
Prior to this, he also worked as senior executive with HSBC in the UK and Jersey. He has over 25 years in the financial services industry.
