UK-based Carmignac Group has expanded its European and emerging markets teams with new hires.

Vincent Steenman will join the firm as global research coordinator, while Edward will join as co-manager of the fund Carmignac Emerging Patrimoine and Malte Heininger as portfolio manager of Carmignac Euro-Entrepreneurs €413 million Fund.

In his new role, Steenman will look to increase cross-fertilization of investment ideas between the Paris and London research teams.

Previously, Steenman was in charge of the capital goods sector at Carmignac and also worked as partner at Zadig Asset Management and as an analyst at LVMH-Groupe Arnault Family Office.

In his new role, Cole will co-manage the equity component of the Fund alongside Simon Pickard and Charles Zerah who keeps managing the fixed income component.

Prior to joining Carmignac, Cole has worked for seven years at Ashmore Group and Finisterre Capital, and for seven years as an EMEA equity strategist at JP Morgan Securities.

Additionally, Heininger has co-managed the Entrepreneurs fund with Muhammed Yesilhark and has joined Carmignac from SAC Global Investors’ London office, where he served as a member of Muhammed Yesilhark’s team, managing a large European equity portfolio, and also worked as a former investment banker at Morgan Stanley.
