Carmignac Gestion has named Michael Hulme as new commodity equities fund manager, effective from 14 February.
Hulme will be based in London and will be responsible for managing the 670m Carmignac Commodities fund.

Additionally, he will develop investment ideas that may be implemented across the Carmignac Gestion range.
Hulme will assume his new role replacing David Field, who has decided to retire from the firm after a span of 10 years managing the commodity team.
Prior to joining Carmignac, Hulme most recently managed the Lombard Odier Global Energy Fund since 2010.
Earlier to this, he worked at MFS International launching its Global Energy Fund in 2009 and also as Fund manager at Société Générale Asset Management.
