Offshore law firm Carey Olsen has expanded its global litigation offering by opening a new litigation and insolvency practice in the British Virgin Islands (BVI).

The new litigation practice will be headed by Ben Mays, who joined the firm as partner and head of BVI litigation.
The new practice will also be assisted by partners, Andreas Kistler and Marcus Pallot, and counsel, Jeremy Garrood.
Mays appointment will bring the total number of partners across the firm’s global litigation team to 13.
Carey Olsen said that its litigation practice in the BVI, Cayman Islands, Guernsey and Jersey includes a full range of advisory, semi-contentious and contentious work.
