Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management (UK) has appointed Charles Cohen as new senior investment director for its investment team.
Based in London, Cohen will be responsible for providing discretionary portfolio management and advisory services to private clients, while leveraging the broader global resources and expertise available through the firm’s centralised investment process.

Cohen joined Canaccord Genuity from Sanlam Private Investments, where he served as a member of the asset allocation committee and worked as head of private clients for three offices in the North of England.
Cohen, who has three decades of portfolio management experience, started his career with Cazenove & Co as a private client investment manager.
He also worked for 13 years as an institutional stockbroker with UBS Warburg. Cohen joined Border Asset Management in 2002, where he served as a director and chief investment officer, with responsibility for growing funds under management and developing the firm’s investment process.
