Alfredo Gysi, at the helm of BSI Group since 1994, will step down from his operational role upon reaching retirement age.
The Generali Group, BSI AG’s sole shareholder, has designated Gysi as a new member of the Board of Directors with effect from 1 January 2012. His appointment will be submitted for approval to a BSI AG Extraordinary Shareholders’ Meeting, to take
place before the end of 2011. Gysi is also expected to take over as Chairman of the Board in April 2012, when the term of current Chairman Giorgio Ghiringhelli expires.

Ghiringhelli, who joined BSI in 1963, will relinquish his position at his own request after 18 years on the Board, eight of them as its Chairman.

a presence in all major international markets.
Stefano Coduri joined BSI in 1989 and has spent his entire career at the bank. He was appointed to the Executive Board in 2004. He successfully led the most important projects involving the Bank in recent years, including the integrations of Banca Unione di
Credito (BUC), acquired in 2006, and Banca del Gottardo, acquired in 2007, and the implementation of a new IT platform for the whole BSI Group. Before taking over his present position as Head of Banking Platform (group operations), Stefano Coduri acquired a wealth of experience in various segments of the Bank, including private banking, product management and organisation.
