Brooks Macdonald International (BMI) has hired Lindsay Bateman as new senior business development manager for its Jersey office.

In his new role, Bateman will focus on new business opportunities across the international professional adviser markets, with a specific target on South Africa.

Bateman has joined Brooks Macdonald from Ermitage Group, where he served as executive director for business development responsible for developing new relationships with institutional and retail clients within the Channel Islands, UK and internationally.

Prior to this, he served as managing director of private client services at Standard Bank Offshore Group. Bateman has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry.
