The Hong Kong office will be headed by A. Richard Brown, who has joined Brookfield Financial as a managing partner in Hong Kong.
Brown has an experience of 25 years in the financial sector and has spent the last four years with BNY Mellon in Hong Kong, as managing director and the regional head of treasury services.

Previously, he was the regional transaction banking head of Bank of America, following 18 years with Citibank, where he was involved in mergers and acquisitions, real estate funds, and was a co-founder of the bank’s Real Estate Capital Markets group. He was also the chairman of Citibank Canada Securities Limited before becoming the financial institutions head of the bank’s Asia Pacific region.

The Hong Kong office adds to Brookfield Financials existing offices in the United States, Europe, India, Australia and Brazil.
