Jamie Matheson left Brewin Dolphin in March 2013 as the private-client fund management firm’s executive chairman and chief executive after eight years with the business. He was replaced by David Nicol as CEO and Simon Miller as chairman.

Sarah Soar, Henry Algeo and Ben Speke have also left but the reason for their departure has not yet been confirmed.

In addition, Brewin’s divisional director on its RDR team Angela Teodorescu and Newcastle-based investment manager Vinay Bedi has resigned.

Recently, Brewin has also made a number of redundancies as part of a restructuring program, but refused to disclose further details. It is believed that the cuts have mainly fallen on the group’s compliance, marketing and human resources departments.
