Boston Private Financial has named Clayton Deutsch as new CEO of Boston Private Bank & Trust replacing Mark Thompson, who will step down from the firm at the end of 2015.

Deutsch, who will assume his new role on 1 January 2016, will be responsible for leading an executive team in the development and expansion of Boston Private’s wealth management, trust and private banking model in selected markets nationally.

Deutsch, who has over 30 years of financial services experience, was most recently CEO of Boston Private Financial. He also sits on the board of directors of Boston Private Financial Holdings, as well as on the boards of each of the company’s affiliates.
