UK headquartered law firm, Boodle Hatfield, has boosted its Middle East team with two appointments to launch a dedicated private office offering.

Partner Shaima Jillood and Solicitor Reem Al Jumaily have joined Boodle Hatfield from the Private Wealth team at Charles Russell Speechlys. They follow the appointment of Partner Salpy Kouyoumjian in 2015 from Baker & McKenzie.

The team aims to service individual investors and family offices across the wider Middle East region, bringing an understanding of the residential and commercial real estate markets in the UK, the tax implications for overseas investors, connections with London agents and private banks, and native Arabic-speaking lawyers in its core practice areas.

Both Jillood and Jumaily have strong relationships with Middle East, Islamic and private banks and London agents.
Boodle Hatfield’s residential Real Estate team has, over the past five years, transacted approximately £1bn ($1.44bn) of residential sales and purchases, with individual values in excess of £50m.
