Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BofA Merrill Lynch) has expanded its presence in Brazil by opening a new office in Rio de Janeiro’s Botafogo district.

The new office will be headed by BofA Merrill’s vice chairman Marco Geovanne. The global transaction services sales activities at the new office will be managed by Mauricio Haidar.

The office will collaborate with clients in the city and surrounding area to further provide solutions tailored to their unique needs.

BofA Merrill country executive of Brazil Rodrigo Xavier said: "Our expanded presence on the east coast is also a testament to our long-term commitment to serving clients in Brazil and the wider region with the full scope of our platform."
