Bank of America Merrill Lynch has appointed Mohamed Yangui as head of equity derivatives structuring in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Yangui, whose appointment comes amid a very strong year for equity derivatives, will be based in London, according to Financial News.

Prior to joining BofA Merrill Lynch, Yangui has served as head of equities structuring at Nomura. Prior to this, e worked at Lehman Brothers in 2006 as head of product development and structuring group as well as at Barclays as head of new development in 2004.

Yangui has begun his career as head of new product development, equities at Credit Lyonnais Securities in 2000.

Yangui’s hire follows the deaprture Mark Iannotti, who had led equity research for Emea in July.
