BNY Mellon Wealth Management has appointed Yolande Escher as the new head of its Greater China business.

Based in Hong Kong, Escher will be responsible for driving the growth of the firm’s Asia operations.

Escher joined BNY Mellon in 2014. In the new role, she will report to head of international wealth management Jeroen Kwist.

She previously also held senior roles in strategy, business management and client sales at UBS Wealth Management in Zurich, Switzerland and London, as well as served as a desk head for UK resident non-domiciled clients at Barclays Wealth.

“With over 14 years of extensive wealth management experience including four years with BNY Mellon Wealth Management, we are pleased that Yolande has agreed to transition from her responsibilities in London to Hong Kong. BNY Mellon Wealth Management offers investment management, custody, wealth and estate planning as well as private banking services. The business managed $246bn in client assets at the end of March 2018.
