BNY Mellon has appointed Nikos Kardassis, former CEO of India-based Jet Airways, as new chairman of enterprise product management group.
In his new role, BNY Mellon will also oversee strategic program management and Asset Servicing product management.

The four chief investment platforms of of BNY Mellon — asset owners, asset managers, insurance firms, and private banks or financial intermediaries — will be put under his charge for the purpose of developing product strategy.
Kardassis joined Jet Airways in 1994 as CEO and later rejoined it in 2008, at first as senior advisor to the board and head of Americas.
He once again took up the CEO mantle at the airways in 2009. He was also co-head of the Merrill Lynch investments and wealth management group, and president and CEO for Merrill Lynch insurance group between 2001 and 2005.

Wywoda will be looking into the important and tricky projects that are vital to the advancement of BNY Mellon’s asset servicing business.
