BNY Mellon has named Jacqueline Joyston-Bechal as head of EMEA advisory compliance team for investment services.

Joyston-Bechal will be based in London and report to Alain Lesjongard, head of international compliance at BNY Mellon.

She will be responsible for advising and supporting the senior management teams in both EMEA and in Global Risk and Compliance, and will work together with regulators across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Joyston-Bechal worked with the Bank of England as head of Legal for the markets, banking and notes directorates.

She also worked for 10 years at Clifford Chance as a senior lawyer in the finance department.
