Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Hohlstein had served as the director at Synovus Family Asset Management for six years, managing US$4 billion in assets for more than 50 families. And in the previous seven years, he was the director of TB&C Family Office, which was the founding family for Synovus Family Asset Management.
In both the roles, he was responsible for providing a full array of family office services to UHNW families, primarily in Georgia and the greater Southeast.
Commenting on the move, Halberg said: "Since BNY Mellon entered Atlanta less than 10 years ago, we have grown our assets under management by four fold despite the global financial crisis. This is a testament to the value we bring to our clients’ financial affairs, and is also manifested by our more than 90% client satisfaction and retention rates. Chris brings a strong record of achievement and expertise that will further support our high value service to clients and our future growth."
