The Bank of New York Mellon (BNY Mellon) has named Richard Gill as head of its Markets group in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

In his new role, Gill will be responsible for leading the regional business strategy and will also manage Markets within EMEA.

Gill, who will report to BNY Mellon Markets president Michelle Neal, will also become a member of the markets executive management team, the Markets Risk Committee and the EMEA Chairman’s Forum.

Gill served at the company for over two decades. His previous roles include co-head of FX Trading and chief FX Dealer.

Based out of London, regionally he will report to BNY Mellon EMEA chairman Michael Cole-Fontayn.
