BNY Mellon has appointed Michael Chan as Asia-Pacific head of asset servicing, who will continue to be based in Singapore.
Mellon will report to Samir Pandiri, chief executive officer of asset servicing, based in the US. Chan remains on BNY Mellon’s Asia-Pacific operating committee and will join the firm’s Asia-Pacific executive committee, chaired by Steve Lackey, Asia-Pacific chairman, BNY Mellon.

Chan was previously managing director and head of sales and business development for BNY Mellon’s asset servicing business in Asia. He originally joined the firm in 2007 as chief operating officer for Asia asset servicing. Prior to this, Chan spent 13 years at State Street and held senior roles spanning from operations to business development in North America and Asia.
