BNP Paribas Wealth Management has named Masroor Batin as new managing director and head of non-resident Indian (NRI) clients.
Based in Singapore, Batin will report to Stephane Honig, head of Indian Markets, as well as locally to Arnaud Tellier, CEO of BNP Paribas Wealth Management Singapore unit, according to The Business Times.

Batin will join the bank’s Indian markets team, which focuses on Indian entrepreneurs with a client centric investment and lending advisory model together with promoter and family advisory capabilities.
Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Batin worked for 12 years in the US managing teams in charge of NRI clients at Citibank and Merrill Lynch and over two years in India as market director for Merrill Lynch.
BNP Paribas Wealth Management has managed 295 billion of assets under management as of 30 March 2014.
