BNP Paribas Wealth Management has named Ernest Leung as the new CEO for Singapore. He currently holds the position of COO BNP Paribas Wealth Management Asia Pacific and will continue with this responsibility as well.

Referring to Leung’s additional role, BNP Paribas said: "This dual role will enable him to further enhance the bank’s business development plans and infrastructure support across Asia Pacific, while continuing to drive franchise growth in Singapore."

Leung will report to BNP Paribas Wealth Management Asia Pacific chairman and CEO Mignonne Cheng, and to BNP Paribas Singapore Branch regional head for Southeast Asia and CEO Pierre Veyres.

Leung has been associated with BNP Paribas since 2006, and the first half of his career was based in China. Before joining BNP Paribas, he had a stint of over 10 years at Citibank in various roles across Asia.

Additionally, the French bank has named Arnaud Tellier as its new head of investment services for Asia Pacific.

Tellier will be responsible for working with relationship managers in the region to strengthen the bank’s product capabilities.

He has served in various senior roles within the Group across Europe and Asia, which includes the post of CEO of wealth management Singapore since 2013.

BNP Paribas has also appointed Stephanie Lair as head of Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia markets. Lair, who most recently served as head of Investment Services, Asia Pacific, will replace Serge Forti who has recently retired.

Both Tellier and Lair will be based in Singapore in their new role.
