BNP Paribas has named Monique Vialatou as new president and chief executive officer for Canada.
Vialatou, who has spent more than 25 years at BNP Paribas Group, was most recenlty in charge of the bank’s operations in Thailand since 2008.

Previously, Vialatou held various roles in the retail banking as well as in the corporate and investment banking divisions at BNP Paribas, including senior relationship manager on several of the group’s corporate coverage teams in France and the US.
Additionally, BNP Paribas has named Anne Marie Verstraeten, who has led Canadian operations since 2010, as new head in the Netherlands.
Vialatou said: "Our group is especially well positioned to support Canadian companies and institutions that want to invest in foreign markets. I’ll certainly be happy to share my recent experience in Asia with them."
