BNP Paribas Asset Management’s chief executive Christian Dargnat has been appointed president of the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA).
Dargnat, who was previously EFAMA’s vice-president, succeeds Claude Kremer, who has been the trade group’s president since 2011.

Dargnat will serve a two-year term, starting immediately, according to the Financial Times.

Additionally, a new board of directors has been elected to serve a two-year term. They include Laurent Ramsey, chief executive of Pictet Funds, Joanna Cound, managing director of government affairs and public policy at BlackRock, and Allan Polack, chairman of Nordea Investment Management.
