BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has appointed its current head of Global Client Group (GCG) Sandro Pierri as its Deputy CEO.
Pierri will also continue to lead GCG, a position he held since 2017 when he joined the company.

BNPP AM CEO Frédéric Janbon said: “Sandro has transformed our Global Client Group into an efficient sales platform for BNPP AM. In expanding his responsibilities, Sandro will bring his invaluable expertise to additional transversal projects.
“This appointment reflects the breadth of his contribution to our company and his commitment to developing our culture and values for the benefit of our clients.”
Pierri is based in London, the UK, and will report to Janbon.

He began his career in 1989 and has worked with San Paolo Fondi, BNL Gestioni and ING Investment Management in Italy.
After UniCredit/Pioneer acquired ING’s Italian business, he joined UniCredit’s asset management division Pioneer Investments.
In December last year, BNPP AM appointed Luiz Sorge to lead its Latin American business.
