BNP Paribas has hired Frederic Janbon as new head of BNP Paribas Investment Partners (IP), the group’s asset management business, replacing Philippe Marchessaux.
In his new role, Janbon will be responsible for further accelerating the development of BNP Paribas IP as a benchmark player in institutional asset management and client service.

Marchessaux will support and advise Janbon during a transition period before assuming another role within the BNP Paribas Group.
Janbon, who has over 25 years’ experience in financial markets and joined the bank since 1988, has held several roles within BNP Paribas Group including global head of fixed income as well as management positions in the interest rate, derivatives and options markets.
