BMO Wealth Management US has recruited Mike Stritch as its new CIO, replacing Jack Ablin who now intends to pursue other interests in private equity after holding the role for 16 years.
Stritch, who has an experience of around 20 years in money management, joined BMO in 2013.

He currently works as the firm’s senior vice president and national head of investments, a role he will continue to hold. In this role, he will be supported by the firm’s chief investment strategist Yung Yu Ma.
Stritch has been in charge of the firm’s US wealth management investment strategy and headed a 30-member research team from 2015.
He also serves as the chairman of the personal asset management committee at the firm, with responsibility for setting investment policy and strategy for US clients.
Earlier, Stritch served as the managing director of investments at CTC | myCFO, which is BMO Wealth Management’s ultra-high net worth arm.
