BMO Financial Group has appointed Monique Chan as CEO of BMO Private Bank Asia, effective 3 August 2015.
Chan, in her new position, will be responsible for the expansion of BMO’s private banking business in Asia and building partnerships across different lines of businesses within BMO such as private banking, capital markets and global asset management.

Chan will report to Myra Cridland, head of BMO Private Banking and Albert Yu, CEO of the group in Asia.
Prior to joining BMO, Chan worked as head of Asia and CEO for Edmond de Rothschild Group, where she worked towards developing both the private banking and asset management businesses in the region.
Previously, Chan held a range of senior management positions such as CEO of HSBC Private Bank’s Hong Kong branch and chief of staff in Asia with a career spanning over a 15-years.
