The private banking arm of Bank of Montreal (BMO) has reportedly appointed Monique Chan as new head for its Asia business.
Chan, who was the former CEO and head of Asia at Banque Privee Edmond de Rothschild, will replace Robert Cormie, who resigned in May 2015, AsianInvestor reported citing undisclosed sources.

Chan left the private banking business of Edmond de Rothschild in May 2015 and is expected to join BMO in late July 2015.
BMO Private Bank’s spokesperson refused to confirm or deny Chan’s appointment.
According to the publication, BMO Private Bank, which distributes third party funds, has also expressed an interest in distributing mainland funds approved under the Hong Kong-China mutual recognition fund scheme.
